Volunteers make Sound Space happen. Consider lending your time and talents to the children of Colusa county.
Volunteers are needed to help with music room preparation including painting, working with children, act as runners, social media outreach, recording, podcasting, or in another capacity you are inclined to help with. Please contact us!
Volunteers present during program hours or working with our youth leaders must complete the Safe Gatherings* training and complete a background check.
Teachers & Staff
Trained music teachers and paid staff are needed to assist with our program.
Musicians who read music (including vocalists, guitarists, pianists, percussionists, or other instrumental players), enjoy teaching children, and mentoring youth leaders, are invited to help bring Sound Space to life.
Those able to assist teachers with children, work on program preparation, administration, podcasting, and mentoring our youth leaders are invited to join us!
Teachers and staff must complete the Safe Gatherings* training and complete a background check.
Youth Leaders
High school youth are invited to apply to assist with the Sound Space program. Youth Leaders receive a $250 stipend for their service.
Service includes the opportunity to assist in an area of interest including teaching, working with children, music making, social media outreach, web maintenance, recording, podcasting, or other need.
Youth commit to six weeks of Wednesdays and assistance with our Sunday Matinee performance.
Youth Leaders must complete the Safe Gatherings* training and complete a background check.
